Minimum requirements are set by our sponsoring institution, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and include:
- International Medical graduates are accepted if they meet the above criteria; however, we do not sponsor Visas.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status
- Passing grade on USMLE Board Exam Steps 1 and 2
- Graduation from an accredited medical school within the last four years
- Three months of clinical experience in the United States
- Three letters of recommendation from U.S. physicians
- Applications for residency program are accepted only through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service)
